L’équipe du Maitai Polynesia – Bora Bora est fière de pouvoir annoncer la certification de l’hôtel au niveau SILVER de GREEN GLOBE, référence reconnue et mise en place par l’organisme EC3 Global et ceci pour la troisième année consécutive.
C’est le premier hôtel en Polynésie française à avoir atteint ce niveau, ce qui place le MAITAI POLYNESIA en position de leader dans le groupe mondial des compagnies certifiées aux standards GREEN GLOBE, en tant qu’acteur du tourisme durable.
Catherine Savatier, Directrice Générale de l’hôtel MAITAI POLYNESIA – Bora Bora, est en charge de cette démarche qu’elle a initiée et qui avait déjà permis d’obtenir avec succès la certification BRONZE en Avril 2009 (méthode de « benchmarking »). Elle reste bien entendu attachée au respect et à l’amélioration des pratiques au sein de l’hôtel qui ont permis de décrocher cette distinction.
Les critères utilisés pour l’évaluation et la certification recouvrent des domaines très variés : consommations d’eau, d’électricité, gestion des déchets, préservation de l’environnement, implication du personnel et communication interne comme vis-à-vis de l’extérieur de l’hôtel, participation à la vie de la communauté et aux manifestations culturelles, etc.

The entire team at Le Maitai Polynesia – Bora Bora is extremely proud to announce the successful achievement of SILVER GREEN GLOBE Certification for the third year.
This places the Hotel in the leading worldwide group of sustainable tourism operators, certified to the internationally recognized Green Globe Company Standard.
The Hotel General Manager, Ms. Catherine Savatier has initiated the certification process with a first achievement last April by obtaining the BRONZE level. She has pursued with enthusiasm with the next steps to SILVER and daily check the respect and implementation of best practices to improve the compliance with this Benchmarking and Certification program.
Criteria used for certification cover various areas such as: water and energies consumptions, garbage, environment preservation, staff commitment, communication inside the hotel and with third parties, participation to the cultural and local community life, etc.
